Like most coastal walks, best at low tide. Starting at the store, head north toward Illaroo campground through some melaleuca wetlands, and admire the large angophora trees.

This looped route begins and ends from Illaroo North Campsite, where parking and camping is available to the public. From here you'll follow the Sandon Back Trail all the way north till you reach the Sandon River.
